João Pedro Sousa
Was born in Évora, Portugal in 1989, having completed studies in Visual Arts in the same city. He graduated in the year of 2012 in Master of Architecture by the Department of Architecture and Urbanism of ISCTE-IUL, Lisbon, where he developed the thesis of Master degree entitled “New Cultural Places: The Panorama Behind the Small Icons”. Attended several conferences and workshops, collaborated in the organization of events and exhibitions with works of his authorship, one of which was co-author of a catalogue and an awarded documentary about the work of architect Luiz Cunha. In 2013 he was an intern architect in the company Wierszyllowski & Projektanci, an architecture and interior design office in Poland. He collaborates since 2013 with the team of Vitruvius FabLab – ISCTE-IUL, a research and digital fabrication laboratory, being involved in several projects and in the organization of events and workshops in that context. Concluded in 2015 the Advanced Studies Course in Digital Architecture (CEAAD), a joint course of ISCTE-IUL and FAUP, with the research project “CorkBuild: Expanded Corkboard Parametric Building System”, sponsored by the company Amorim Isolamentos.
